Tips on Booking a Cruise Wedding
1. All lines require that you book the cruise first, then the wedding at sea package.
2. Carry your wedding attire onboard if the wedding is on emarkation day, since checked luggage will not make it to your cabin before you do.
3. Arrive in the embarkation city at least the day before the ship departs, especially if the wedding is scheduled for the day of embarkation, in order to avoid having to rush to the ship in time for the wedding.
4. Brides and guests should have their hair and nails done in port on the day of an embarkation wedding. If you opt for these services onboard, be sure to book the appointments in advance.
5. Don't book an excursion on the day of the wedding.
6. In the past, non-cruising guests were allowed aboard ship in the port of embarkation for the ceremony. However, like many other things, that changed after September 11. In most cases, only guests booked for the cruise may now board the ship. Check with the cruise line for their policy.
